The Story

Grand Orange de Turin is the result of an ancient recipe from the historic Fratelli Ferrero distillery of Riccardo , founded in Turin in 1861, shortly after the unification of Italy.

The distillery, after starting its activity in Turin , moved to a factory in Barriera di Lanzo and then established itself, around the 1920s, in Moncalieri (Turin) in a large and modern production plant.

These were years of strong growth for the distillery, which then decided to open a factory in Marsala (Sicily), which remained in operation for approximately twenty years.
Riccardo's Fratelli Ferrero soon became known on the European and American markets for the quality of its products, obtaining numerous international awards between the 19th and 20th centuries and becoming a supplier to the Royal House of Savoy. It was the owner of the license issued by the Kingdom of Italy for the production of vermouth number 3.

At the end of the 19th century, Riccardo's Fratelli Ferrero acquired another important company, E. Martinazzi & CSa , which over the years expanded a refined range of liqueurs.
Particular attention was paid to advertising and marketing, also through collaboration with famous creatives such as Armando Testa , who created the iconic poster dedicated to the Martinazzi orangeade.
